This idea first emerged during a design thinking workshop focused on creating loyalty features for a banking app. What started as a simple shared savings widget quickly evolved into a multi-layered experience — connecting family members, enabling shared goals, and introducing kids to saving in a safe, meaningful way.

Problem

Managing shared savings between family members or partners often feels complicated and disconnected from daily life.

Families and couples need a simple way to create shared savings goals, track them together, and feel more connected to their financial journey — without getting lost in complex banking procedures.

Solution

What started as a shared savings widget evolved into a two-part experience:

A dedicated Shared Savings flow within the main banking app, allowing parents and partners to easily create, manage, and track joint goals — with the option to pin shared accounts as widgets for even quicker access.
A standalone Child App, giving younger users a safe, dedicated space to view their savings and stay motivated — without dealing with traditional banking complexity.
